Chop Class OCALA Florida January 2024
Are you interested in learning how to chop a top? We will be chopping a 1950 Mercury 4 door in this class! The weekend starts on Friday 1/26/2024 at 8am, where we will brace the car for the chop, lay down the cut lines, and get the party started!
If you're a beginner or an expert, a youngster or an old timer, you'll learn something from this class or you'll teach us something new! This is a no-ego, hands on class for everyone! We will have a mini project for every participant to get you familiar with the English wheel!
Saturday 1/27 and Sunday 1/28/2024 we will go through the chop process! You will learn how to lay out a chop and make the proper cuts. You'll learn the process of designing a good looking chop that flows well, and has classic proportions. Again, this is a hands on class, so everyone will have the chance to weld, cut, grind, and get familiar with tools like the English wheel, shrinker/stretcher, and more! No experience is necessary, but the drive to learn and build Kool stuff is a must!
Sunday we will be finishing the chop, making the new sail panels and shaping the door tops. I will teach participants many of the tips and tricks I have learned over the years in regards to metal shaping and welding over the weekend! If we have time I will also explain and demonstrate some other custom techniques!
Lunch and dinner will be provided Friday and Saturday, Lunch will be provided Sunday. Class size is limited to 16 participants to make it more hands-on for everyone!

Saturday 1/27 8am-8pm
Sunday 1/28 8am-6pm
Total cost for the class is $450. $300 deposit paid now is non-refundable so make sure you are available! Remaining $150 will be due Saturday 1/27/2024 at 8am.
