BUBBLETOP MAYHEM! Part 1: Constructing a Fiberglass Roth Style Body October 1st-4th 2026

Mr. Melty is taking you on an adventure into the unknown... far into the future, or is it the past?
I have had the idea of building a bubbletop car for years. Like some of you, the obsession started with Ed Roth model kits and seeing recent creations by the likes of Mark Moriarity and Dave Shuten... and if you have been hanging around chop classes, you know that I have been hinting at a second chapter in car building and automotive design.
This class is aimed at designing and constructing a fiberglass bodied Roth style car. This will be the first in a series of classes including an Auto Body Experience class, a "How to blow a Bubbletop" class, and perhaps a custom paint prep and spray class, all of which will be spread over a couple of years, and most of which will be held at my shop in Vandalia, Missouri. THOSE WHO TAKE THE FIRST CLASS WILL GET DISCOUNTS ON SUBSEQUENT CLASSES, and each class will have different price points. This first installment will be the most costly, as it will fund the materials and basic parts needed to make this idea come to life.
In this first class, we will focus on making a mold and a body based on drawings brought up to scale. This will be "Flowmagineering" at it's finest!
Full cost of the class is $800 per person. This includes the $550 deposit, with $250 due the weekend of the class. Each class will be limited to 10 participants!
